Protein Ring Terms of Service

Service

Protein Ring is a nutrition tracking app that helps users set protein and macro targets, log meals, review trends, and use AI-assisted meal parsing. The app provides estimates and planning support, not medical advice.

Eligibility And Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining access to their sign-in method and for the accuracy of the information they provide. Users may sign out or request account deletion from Profile.

Nutrition And AI Estimates

Protein Ring may use AI to parse meal descriptions and may use FoodData Central reference data to estimate nutrition. Meal parsing, macro estimates, micronutrient coverage, and insights can be incomplete or inaccurate. Users should review and edit meal items before relying on them.

Protein Ring does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. Users with medical conditions, allergies, eating-disorder history, pregnancy, or specialized nutrition needs should consult a qualified professional before changing their diet.

Subscriptions

Protein Ring may offer auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Prices, trials, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the store and shown in its purchase sheet. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions from their Apple or Google Play account settings.

Deleting a Protein Ring account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Users must cancel through Apple or Google Play if they want billing to stop.

Acceptable Use

Users may not misuse the app, interfere with service operation, attempt to access another user’s account or data, reverse engineer private APIs, submit unlawful content, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or store terms.

User Content

Users remain responsible for the meal descriptions, profile inputs, and other content they submit. By submitting meal text or profile data, users allow Protein Ring and its processors to use that data to provide the service, including AI parsing, nutrition matching, syncing, analytics, support, and diagnostics as described in the Privacy Policy.

Account Deletion And Export

Users can delete their account from Profile -> Account -> Delete account. Users can request a data export from Profile -> Account -> Export my data or by emailing support@proteinring.com.

Service Availability

Protein Ring may change, suspend, or discontinue features. External services such as Supabase, OpenAI, FoodData Central, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, PostHog, and Sentry may affect availability or behavior.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protein Ring disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Protein Ring is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for nutrition, health, billing, or data-loss outcomes resulting from app use.

Changes

Protein Ring may update these terms as the product changes. The published terms should show the current effective date and remain linked from Profile and App Store metadata.
